Nailah got her start in music from Soca music, which was originally invented by her grandfather, Lord Ras Shorty. Her mother is also a renowned Calypso queen. Musical talent runs in her veins, and she is considered to be Soca Royalty. Despite being heavily involved in Soca music, Nailah loves to expand her horizions and try different genres of music, especially hip hop and acoustic music.
